Add AI to pages

ToolboxAI's AI features live inside a RecordAI component that you drop onto pages using Salesforce's Page Builder (Lightning App Builder). You can add it to a specific object's record page, to a Home page, or to any App page.

Add RecordAI to a record page

  1. Open a record for the object you want to add AI to (e.g. an Account).
  2. Click the gear icon → Edit Page to open Lightning App Builder.
  3. In the Components panel on the left, search for RecordAI.
  4. Drag RecordAI onto the page layout where you want it to appear.
  5. Click Save, then Activate if this is the first time this page has been activated, and set it as the org default (or assign it to the profiles/apps that need it).

Add RecordAI (or the dashboard) to a Home page

  1. From the Home tab, click the gear icon → Edit Page.
  2. Search for RecordAI in the Components panel and drag it onto the page. If you'd rather show the ToolboxAI activity dashboard here instead, use the Home Dashboard component the same way.
  3. If you added RecordAI, you can set the Search Objects property in the right-hand panel to control which objects show up in its search dropdown (comma-separated API names, e.g. Account, Contact, MyObject__c).
  4. Click Save and activate the page as needed.

Notes

  • RecordAI can be added to record pages, Home pages, and App pages — the same component works in all three.
  • Users need the ToolboxAI AI Generation Access permission set (see Set Up Team Permissions) to actually use the component once it's on a page.
  • Repeat this process for each object's record page where you want AI available — for example, add it to Account, Contact, and Case pages separately.
